Prefects
Prefects at Enfield Community College
At Enfield Community College, our Prefects are a vital part of school life and student leadership. Prefects are senior students in 6th year who represent the school as a whole and act as positive role models for all year groups.
Prefects are selected through an application and interview process, ensuring that those chosen demonstrate maturity, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to ECC’s values. Being a prefect is a position of trust and respect, and it is considered a great honour in our school.
The Role of a Prefect
Prefects are leaders within the student body and contribute to the smooth running of school life. Their duties include:.
- Representing the student voice and acting as role models for younger students
- Assisting at key school events such as Open Evenings, Information Nights, and Award Ceremonies
- Welcoming visitors and acting as ambassadors for the school community
- Supporting positive behaviour and upholding school values
- Helping to organise and lead school initiatives, activities, and projects
- Working closely with staff and management to support the ethos of ECC
Through their service, prefects develop key skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, and responsibility — preparing them for life beyond school.
Meet Our Prefects
Our prefect team is made up of dedicated 6th year students who have committed themselves to representing Enfield Community College with pride. They are the face of ECC at school events and a voice for the student body, ensuring that all students feel heard, respected, and supported.

A message from our Prefects:
“We are proud to represent our school and to serve as role models for the younger years. Being a prefect gives us the chance to give back to ECC, support our fellow students, and help maintain the welcoming and positive environment that makes our school special.”
