Annual Christmas hamper Collection

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s), Following on from our successful St Vincent de Paul Christmas hamper collection last year, Enfield Community College will be organising a Christmas hamper collection again this year. Last year we sent 30 food hampers down to our local St Vincent de Paul shop which were then given to those in need in the local community for Christmas. The Society of St Vincent de Paul is the largest, voluntary, charitable organization in Ireland with over 9,500 volunteers in Ireland. They provide help and assistance to over 20,000 families at Christmas. Our Second Year CSPE students and our Student Council are organising the Hamper Collection this year. Boxes will be placed in each classroom for the collection of non-perishable food items. We would be very grateful of any food donations, and we would appreciate if students could bring in items from the start of next week. The closing date for the Collection of food items is the 8th of December as St Vincent De Paul would like to distribute hampers the following week. By donating non-perishable food items, you will be helping families and individuals in our community to enjoy a special Christmas. The food/hampers will be distributed by the society to families in need in the Enfield area. We would be very grateful for any of the following items: Tinned Foods: Tinned Fruit/Vegetables, Packet/Tinned Soup, Tinned Spaghetti and Baked Beans, Tinned Tuna/Fish, Tin Stews/meatballs. Cereals & Other Items: Breakfast Cereals and Muesli, Noodles, Rice and Pasta, Pasta/Rice Sauce, Muesli Bars, Tea and Coffee, Sugar, marmalade. Treats: Chocolate, Crisps, Biscuits, Popcorn, Sweets, Soft Drinks Christmas Items: Christmas cake, Mince Pies, Christmas Crackers Toiletries Please ensure any foods donated are non-perishable items and their expiry dates are well into the next year. Our School very much appreciates your support with this collection as we strive to work together as a Community.  Many thanks,Kind regards,Helena Mooney & Mairéad Gilmartin (Organising Teachers).

LMETB’s Strategy Statement for the period 2022 to 2026

I am pleased to present LMETB’s Strategy Statement both Irish and English versions for the period 2022 to 2026: Links – As Gaeilge agus As Bearla  LMETBStrategyStatement2022-2026.pdf attached below Our learners are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to excellence and innovation in teaching and learning and the Strategy Statement sets out LMETB’s strategic direction to enable us to continue to provide high quality education and training services to the communities of Louth and Meath. The Strategy Statement was developed following an on-line consultation with staff, learners, parent/guardian bodies, LMETB Board, Committees, Boards of Management, funders and other stakeholders. Unfortunately, Covid-19 protocols meant that normal face to face consultation was not feasible. LMETB will benefit greatly from the valuable contribution that these stakeholders have made to the development of our Strategy Statement. I am confident that the Strategy Statement addresses current concerns and ambitions while simultaneously taking cognisance of trends and developments at local, national and European level. I believe that it is a relevant, targeted and ambitious strategy. I, as Chief Executive of LMETB, with the support of my Senior Management Team, am committed to the implementation of this Strategy Statement and I look forward to engaging with LMETB stakeholders at all levels as we go through the process of implementing our ambitious goals and actions. I commend this strategy to you knowing that it will help us to improve the experience of learners. We will deliver our Strategy, guided by our mission, values and principles to play our role in the long-term development of Louth and Meath as a great place to live, work and thrive. Táim muiníneach gur féidir linn, le tacaíocht gach ceannaire agus gach ball foirne BOOLM, dul chun cinn fíorúil a dhéanamh le cur i bhfeidhm ár spriocanna sna cúig bliana seo romhainn.   Thar ceann an Phríomhfheidhmeannach,On behalf of the Chief Executive, LMETBStrategyStatement2022-2026

Re : Amendments to Admission Policy To whom it concerns,The Education (Provision in respect of Children with Special Educational Needs) Act 2022 has commenced.
